I started making action movies in my backyard when I was 9 years old. Shortly after, I created my first YouTube channel, "RJYMProductions," a partnership of sorts between myself and some friends. We shot a dozen Bourne Identity/Sicario ripoffs together over the next few years, editing in the most ginormous muzzle flashes and nuclear explosions known to man.
I decided it was time to get serious and started submitting the same, egregious short films for all my class projects. By the time I got to high school, I realized I could actually get paid to have fun, and used some of those Pinnacle Studio / Nikon skills on local news beats and people I found interesting. In college, I learned how to use real software and cinema gear (like the pros!) and took on work with the NC State University alongside both local and international businesses. Now, I'm back on the YouTube grind, working with a master mechanic to deliver the most educational car content on the platform. I produce all of the content from start to finish, and it's been the most satisfying work of my career so far.
Working in video production is a dream turned reality, and I can't wait to create more. Right now, I'm outlining two short documentaries on some very interesting people, and getting certified for industry-standard editing and color grading programs. My ultimate goal is to wind up working on major motion pictures in Los Angeles. For now, I'm happy with doing as much work as I can get my hands on, learning from the best, and continuing to make new connections in the industry.
